Kathleen is a Registered Yoga Teacher Trainer, 200 Hour E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher), and Owner/Director of Namaskar Yoga, Registered Yoga School with the International Yoga Alliance (http://yogalliance.org/). Kathleen works at continuing education and on-going training in the varied aspects of yoga, anatomy, philosophy, health and well being. She is also Certified as a Fitness Instructor and Strength Trainer trained through the YMCA, YWCA, and SPRA, and is a regular speaker and presenter at Yoga and Fitness Conferences. Kathleen has been awarded the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in Athletics. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of fitness and wellness, with over 5,000 documented hours of experience teaching yoga.

This workshop is intended to provide you with the required practice teaching hoursfor Certification in Teaching Basic Asanas.
We will review and work on pose technique, teaching methodology and practice teaching in a relaxed and positive atmosphere. Participants will receive individual attention and coaching. There will be time provided for discussion, questions and answers. This workshop is also a good opportunity to practice, share and exchange ideas with other new yoga teachers.

Description of training: This training will provide teachers with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and benefits of practicing Yin Yoga, and basic Yin Yoga anatomy and safety. We will breakdown and practice technique of Yin Yoga Asanas, practicing execution and how to teach the poses including variations, modifications, and counter-poses. Teachers will learn how to develop and deliver safe, effective and beneficial Yin Yoga Classes.

designed to create profound relaxation and personal healing. This workshop may be what we need in our busy lives. Together, we will create a wonderful opportunity for each of us to come back into natural harmony,
balance, and spiritual wholeness in our own way. Our learningexperience will include Yoga Nidra, including "iRest Yoga Nidra" with Guest Teacher Kimberly Lawrence.
